National Service Scheme
The National service Scheme (NSS) is a central sector scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity to the students to take part in various government led community service activities & programmes. The sole aim of NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service.
Motto:- NOT ME BUT YOU
On 1st August, 2017 NSS unit was started with 100 volunteers in Govt. College for women Pali, Rewari. Two types of activities are conducted in NSS- Regular activities (120 hours) and Annual Special Camp (120 hours). All the volunteers have to serve in NSS for at least 2 years for 240 hours to get certification from the university under the signature of Vice Chancellor and programme coordinator. During the tenure of NSS following activites are conducted: _
Ø Cleaning
Ø Awareness Programmes on social issues, social problems, education and cleanliness
Ø Awareness Rallies
Ø Health Camp
Ø Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Essay writing, Declamation on different topics to spread awareness among students.
Ø One day Camp
Ø Special 7 days Camp
In this current session (2021-22) the NSS volunteers have participated in following activities:-
Ø Oath by students and staff for not making use of Tobacco products and also to motivate others for the same.
Ø Poster Making competition on “Say No to Tobacco”
Ø Celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by conducting following activities:-
· Essay Writing on Patriotism and Role of Youth in Nation building
· Slogan Writing on Patriotism
· Poster Making
· Group Discussion
· Declamation competition on Block Level
Ø Oath on constitution Day
Ø Showcasing of unsung heroes by playing movie (Kesari) on freedom fighter.
Ø One day Camp in College Campus.
