National Service Scheme Report (2021-22)

COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, PALI
The National service Scheme (NSS) is a central sector
scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It
provides opportunity to the students to take part in various government led
community service activities & programmes. The sole aim of NSS is to
provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service.
On 1st August, 2017 NSS unit was started
with 100 volunteers in Govt. College for Women Pali, Rewari. Two types of
activities are conducted in NSS- Regular activities (120 hours) and Annual
Special Camp (120 hours). All the volunteers have to serve in NSS for at least
2 years for 240 hours to get certification from the university under the
signature of Vice Chancellor and programme coordinator.

on different topics to spread awareness among students.

days Camp
A Seven Day Camp of NSS was organized in
the month of February from 5th
to 11th Feb. 2022. A Total 50 Volunteers participated in this camp. During the camp following activities were conducted: -
Inauguration of camp was done by Mrs.
Neelu Kishanani on 5th Feb. 2022. Volunteers cleaned the Pali School
Campus. Volunteers participated in ‘Best Out of Waste Material’ and ‘Mehandi Making’.
The theme of Poster Making activities was ‘Beti Bacho Beti Padao’ & ‘Say No to Tabacco’. Rally was organized to aware villagers about
the harmful effects of Tabacco and to promote
the Campaign ‘Beti Bacho Beti Padao’. Surya Namashakar was done every
day in morning session. There was 3 Days
training of ‘First Aid & Home
Nurshing’ by Mr. Sanjay from Red Cross Office. Extension Lecture on ‘Resume
Making’ and ‘Personality Development’ by
Dr. Dalbir Singh & Dr. Inderjeet Singh on alternate days On the last day
Best Volunteer of NSS Camp was selected and all students were awarded with camp
certificate by Dr. Karan Singh, Principal, GCW Pali.
